So Apparently I was good this year so the jolly old elf left me a couple toys under the tree.

This wooden plow plane was in good shape other than it missing the wedge for the blade and the fact that one of the threaded sections is broken, looks like im going to have to buy that wood treader and die that has been sitting on my wish list.

My luck wasn’t perfect though received this number 7 in installments needless to say it may be the worlds largest chisel plane now, thankfully i got my money back and my wife got me the number 6 in the previous pic, so now I am looking for a matching base to restore it.

Anyway what goodies did everyone else get?

Just a few items here. There is a lot of stuff not pictured, and some big giftcards. I also got myself a Christmas present that should be here soon (Thanks again Don!) – a Stanley #7

I have been collecting tools hoping to find time to do woodworking. My craftsmanship, I am sure is subpar.
My wife got me a membership to the local woodworker’s guild with shop previledges. Now I have an excuse for a monthly meeting and have a chance to learn from people who knows what they are doing.

Willeh, that is an awesome saw, I have the 16 inch with the walnut handle, I’m sure it cuts like a dream. Bad axe saws are worth every penny they cost and every minute u wait for them.

I got the joy of seeing loved ones appreciate the hand made gifts I made for them.
It’s been a tight year financially.
I’m enjoying the small pleasures this year.

No tools, but a couple gift cards to the BORG and a check for $150 earmarked explicitly for use toward the purchase of a bandsaw. So I did OK.

My lovely girlfriend bought me all the James Krenov books. I had previously borrowed them from the library, but I so wanted them for keeps. Yay
