Topic tags/keywords: electric motor table saw craftsman hp horsepower 3450 rpm restoring power tools tablesaw

I’m about 45 min north of Chicago, IL and I just picked up a Craftsman 113.27520 Table Saw for $20 without the motor. I’m in Process of restoring it now but I would love to get the motor on it and see how it runs. I am looking for a 1 to 1.5 HP 3450 rpm motor. If anyone is around where I live and have a reasonable price for the motor, Let me know.

And remember, I bought the saw for $20 so I dont want to spend a fortune on a motor.

If you still have the 113.27520 then please take a look at this riving knife mod

Sometimes air compressors can be had for cheap (at least in my neck of the woods) on CL. I bought one for $30 and pulled the motor to use on a jointer. The older style belt driven compressors are what to look for.
