Topic tags/keywords: parts riving knife anti kickback

I’ve just bought a General 50-185M1 table saw in beautiful condition, but with no blade guard/ riving knife. General does not have the part, nothing on Craigslist or eBay. Any suggestions appreciated.

Dunno if the BORK aftermarket riving knife will fit the GI or not….it’s similar to the former Jet, PM64a, Griz G0576, Bridgewood, etc…..I’d contact Bob Ross, inventor of the BORK, and see what he thinks. theborkstore.com/

Thanks, but their Website says they don’t fit General saws. That would have been a great solution .

Because your saw is a General International contractor saw, not a General cabinet saw, I would still ask Bob….worst he say is that it won’t work…

Thanks, Scott. I took your advice and Bob responded immediately with a picture of the PM 64 arbor with a message that if the General 50-185M1 is the same – which indeed it is – that the BORK will fit. I’m still waiting to hear definitively from General International that they don’t have the part. If that is the case, the BORK is the solution.

Have your say...
