It’s a hitching post for your kangaroo. (I know everyone in Australia has a pet kangaroo, just like everyone here in southern Louisiana has a pet alligator.)

I will give you a clue. It’s nothing to do with kangaroos or butt scratching or the weather or bushwacking or turtles (good one trim) or clothes. A poor mans device possibly (thats me) .
