For you knotheads out there I am going to “suggest” to you how to post a contribution to a thread. BTW, knothead on a woodworking site is a term of affection. Let me start by asking a question. How many of you post a response by reading the initial post and then giving your opinion, help, comment, etc without reading the posts in between the initial one and yours? To me it seems this happens frequently and makes you look lost and clueless. Make your post part of the flow and everyone will then understand where you are coming from. Don’t try to look brilliant by posting something someone has already posted or solving a problem that has already been solved. Otherwise, you may end up receiving the Knothead of the Month award which I will gladly oversee if Martin asks me.

After carefully studying the question you pose, I believe that the answer is 42.

EDIT: This in only true in the simplified non-relativistic case.

I have carefully read the original post along with ALL replies so far. Clearly ChuckV is wrong, the answer is 7 (I had to choose a different answer or else I might have been labeled a “knothead”)

You guys are finally starting to get it. BTW, both answers are wrong.

Be careful DKV – I called some knotheads an affectionate name and, was rewarded with being blocked. Evidently some knotheads do not like affection.

Is it pi? It has to be – please, please please – say it’s pi.

Rosebudjim, I agree. Some people don’t like affection.

Cosmicsniper, because I am the most qualified.

ChuckV, you make me laugh. The answer includes pi but is not pi. The difference is in the 25th decimal point position.Try again. You’re close.

All, I’m not even going to get into spelling. This site needs a spelling cop but that would be a fulltime job.

I use the purple ones.

you state knothead on a woodworking site is a term of affection. Then insinuate knothead of the month is a punishment.

Is it blue?

I’ll request Martin install a spell checker AND translator. What do you think of that?

Post this on the Handplanes thread, pls. After you’ve read all 24K+ entries first, of course.
