That saw was one of my top choices when I was shopping for a new saw earlier this year.

You are right in that a table board on the right side adds some very useful space.

Mobile bases come in very handy around the shop!!

Ye-Hawwww…! Congratulations! I have that mobile base on my G0690 and it works well for me. Don’t forget that you also need the mobile extension for the wing legs. You cut the center bar to fit the distance to your wing support legs:

Thank you. In my life time, I have only had a radial arm saw (in the 1980’s) and the Craftsman TS passed on to me when my dad passed away a few years ago. Now I am passing the saw on to my nephew to use. He is in college, but his momma has room to store it for him.

This past year, I decided to retire from sport shooting and concentrate on my woodworking skills. Up until then, I have been mostly a 2×4 kind of guy. :-)

This saw should do everything I ask of it, and then some.

I bought the mobile base to help me maneuver the saw into just the right spot. My garage floor is soo unlevel and not smooth at all. I hate it.

I have an eight foot piece of 8/4 maple waiting patiently for the new saw to arrive. :-)

I got it assembled and it passed the “smoke test”! :-)

Hope to install a router tomorrow and that will give me an excuse to build an auxillary fence for the TS fnece.

I am really glad I bought the mobile base. One of my better decisions in life, I think. Now I can move it as needed.

Today I finished the assembly and ran the power for the saw.

I bought the router table wing with my G0690 from Grizzly and I am sorry I did. No removable router plate, no lift mechanism.

Picture yourself sitting on that concrete floor looking up while working on the underside of that steel wing every time you want to adjust your router, change bits etc….......................
