WooHoo. I’ve been on the prowl for a decent 6” jointer for a few months now. The stuff that has popped-up on CL over the past few months has either been too expensive or big or far away. I was lucky enough to see this ad for a “barely used” Delta only 5 minutes after it was posted. The machine is the right size for my small shop, and is being sold for $100. I have an appt to pick it up tomorrow.
I realize this machine isn’t “top-shelf”, and thats fine. My line-up of machines consists of mid-performance stuff that I’ve pick-up for peanuts. And this jointer will be a great replacement for my ancient, 4” craftsman machine. Nothing wrong with the craftsman. I just outgrew it.
Here’s a pic of a 37-190 for those unfamiliar.

The 37-190 is a respectable jointer. You got a great deal for $100.

I bought the 37-190 in 1990 brand new, and had it till last year when I sold it to my neighbor, who is a woodworker…..I never had one minutes trouble with it, and sold it to get a 8” or 10”....I had 3 extra set of knives (or blades) and the same mobil base….Got $300 for it, so you’re making out like a bandit on that one..

I saw it too on CL and withing several minute of posting. Thought to buy it too, but did not. Glad I did not compete ;-) I too was on a look out for a jointer for couple months. I am going to pick up Ridgid 6” jointer today. Hope you will have it in your shop soon.

Thanks Yuri. I picked-it up last night. It looks virtually brand new. Its currently in the back of my car as I won’t have a chance to set it up until Thursday.

I’ve got about the same machine. I paid $100 for mine too but it needed some clean up. Good deal.
