Hello everyone new to the site, love what i see so far. I was wondering in these hard time if anyone from the New Orleans area has every walked along the Mississippi River to find wood? Is it worth it? any good finds? with everything else they find washed up on the banks i was thinking this maybe a good place to look. Looking forward to your feedback.

In most places you have to have a permit to remove logs from “The Waters of the United States” as the Corps of Engineers refers to it.

Not from New Orleans, but wanted to say welcome. This is a fantastic place for information, inspiration and motivation.
