How many Ws or kWs are efficent for drill press? Is it 0,5 to 1,0 kW or more, for all types of woodworking projects (boards and planks max up to 8cm ticknes 16-20 mm holes)?

Hi Ivan,
here’s a European answer. :)
I chose the middle: Bosch PBD 40 with 710W
I can tell you from experience that it can make the tasks you specified.
I like this drillpress. It was worth its price.

Hi Ivan. In terms of our drill presses, I would get one with at least a 1/2 hp motor ( 373 watts). It will turn up to a 50MM Forstner bit…...................Jim
