I don’t know DIY, I have a Kunz compass plane and it is a POS. I bought the Kunz thinking it would be better than my old E bay $40 Stanley compass plane, well, the Stanley is far batter for almost 10 times less than the Kunz. The prices listed are good though.

I have no experience or knowledge of handplanes. The seller said he would ship, so I thought I would let people know. Never know what people may be in need of. Only trying to inform.

I got it, it is funny though, the ad lists some planes not normally acquired by beginners. They might be a good fit for someone starting out.

I’m leary of buying handplanes, as I don’t know which ones I need, let alone the quality and reasonable pricing for them. However, when I do have a question, LJs is my first place to go and get information. Gotta luv LJs memebers, for being so knowlegable and willing to share!!!
