Topic tags/keywords: grizzly jointer

Purchased my first jointer today, a 6 inch Grizzly with a 46 inch bed on sale for $408. I previously had to rely on lumber being straight enough to work with, or even using my router table to joint boards for edge gluing. I’m a novice woodworker, and I plan to use this machine for many years to come. I just hope I don’t regret not having an 8” jointer…just couldn’t justify the additional cost.

Congratulations! Grizzly is one of the best, if not the best, bang for the buck manufacturers IMO.

I have had that same jointer now for almost 2 years and I really like mine a lot. I have not needed an 8” jointed for any of my projects…...yet!

Congrats! I have the spiral cutterhead version of that and it’s been great. Would’ve loved an 8” jointer but alas not enough space in my garage shop.
