Yep. A jointer is on my “from me-to me” xmas list. I’m in the used market, so I’m waiting for the right machine to pop-up on CL.

At my age I buy a nice tool rap it up and put it under the tree, then when Christmas comes and I open it and I am really suprised, and I think yes Tom, there is a Santa Claus.

No shame in self gifting. How much have you done around the house this year without pay. Go big, hoss.

Everything I have is self gifting. I wouldn’t trust them to pick anything out. :-)

Just today I asked SWMBO if she wanted to know what she was getting me for Christmas.

Yup, I rapped my empty oscillating spindle sander box and put it under the tree. From Santa of course! Now I have to get some more sanding sleeves for my stocking stuffer. I’ll need them by the time Xmas comes.

Merry Christmas to ya, Cutworm! I’ve owned a few Ridgid tools in the past and was very happy with them. Orange is OK!

Ya can’t go wrong when you pick it out. Sure beats socks. I picked up some sanding sleeves while I was there too. Along with a new battery for my drill and a few square head bits.

Who doesn’t like self gifting? Why take chances on getting a hideous jumper.
