I am now accepting Resumes for Expert woodworkers to author articles and to do tool evaluations on new and exciting tool releases. This position has no monetary compensation at this time. However for the right person this is a way to have your ides shared with a large repeat audience and a chance to test and use new tools. Some you will get to keep some you will return to the vendor and some are owned and will be returned to me. I am accepting writing samples that will be reviewed by our new editor and will be graded by a panel of English professors. Your resume must contain your history of woodworking projects and it may be a link to your LJ gallery so we can judge the work you do. One of your writing samples should be a blog of sorts on the project you have built.

Story’s you will wright will be on projects that will be designed by our design department you will be asked to build the prototype from plans our readers will be able to download in sketch up. You will be given the sketch up and a small budget to get materials for the project. Once the article is complete the item will be sold and the funds will be used to pay you for your time and for your next project. We will handle the sales of the projects or you may choose to keep the project for your own use we will work these details out as they arise.

This position will require you to make at least one project a month and to do at least one tool review a month . You will become a feature writer the title of the position is associate editor .

We will soon be opening a online store and when we do you will be able to buy things at our cost plus 10% this is a big compensation. You may be asked to review the items you purchase if we have not reviewed them before.

If you are interested in this position please pm me and we will discuss the details of getting your resume to me. Also if you have questions please pm me or post them here.

Now this person has to do reviews of tools etc. for free and also spell better than you. I do not think that such a person exsists.

Sorry Dude can’t spell worth beans and I really don’t fall in the expert category. The free tool part sounds good though. :)) Good luck on you search .

I am a horebel speller. But I think it adds to my charm. Hope you find what you are looking for, Dude. I’ve been told I have a knack for writing, but I am no video star.

What kind of operation have you guys got going over there, anyway? I am not familiar.

Lance,
I also think one should be able to use “punctuation” better than you do too… you left out a very important comma…

Where will the Income be coming from & when, besides Store Sales?
Who are the Principals?

Sounds like the person you’re looking for should really be part of the business and to be Credited with the value of their work / participation as part of their investment in the Company from Day 1. Anyone with those credentials would be hard pressed to donate their time for FREE…

Good Luck in finding the person you’re looking for…

OK, now, I will just shut up and be quiet…

My goals are:

2. Less respondsibiliies.
3. More time off.

?????
Looks like it’s not going to be a fit.

Sorry if this comes off as rude, why did you post all your questions in the for sale or want to buy forum? This seems like more like a more non-shop talk category.

”...graded by a panel of English professors”. LOL! I would have thought one English professor would be sufficient.

this is the only position i have except for a web master so no hr position sorry.

I have access to 3 English professors so I choose to have a comity with a up down vote but for the right person bad grammar and punctuation will be handled by our editor so you dont have to be great if you have the right attitude. and a good set of woodworking skills.

I don’t know why people bother to post things like WTF if they have no skills to get the position.

I posted this here because it is a want ad .

I want a fully equipped wood shop within 1/2 mile of my home, I call all the shots on what projects get done and during what hours, the shop is mine after hours, and I say who I will or will not work with. If you have the filming crew and equipment, I’ll give you a good show… just stay out of my way and let me do my thing, and ditch the English professors – this ain’t etiquette 101.

I need $15K per episode, with a minimum of $85K annual. This includes 6 weeks paid vacation. Make that work and we can discuss the details. You know how to contact me.

You know what dude, people mess with you (including myself) but it seems you have a vision for what you want to do in life. You may not have the money but you have all of the self confidence anyone could ever want. You have a lot of ideas (they may not be realistic) but you have them. That’s more than a lot of us can say. Ignore those that make fun and seem to just drift through life with no motivation or plan.
