#2 looks larger and taller. There is more contrast between the different woods that attract the eye’s attention.

I never noticed that. Interesting.

I think #2 looks larger because it is closer to the camera. However, LOML accuses me of mis-perceiving reality all the time. :D

Yep! I noticed.
Sell/give ‘em to whomever.
Both are worthy.
Creepy how color can effect.
I won’t tell.

I’m colorblind, so they look about the same to me :)

Both boxes are exactly the same height! #2 is less than 1/2” longer but from this view the difference cannot really be seen.
Some time ago I had noticed that certain colors can make a perceptual difference in size but never noticed it as much before.
Most women and clothes designers have known this for a long time, color makes a difference in the perceived size.

Being closer to the camera would definitely make a difference although I doubt there is enough here to make it appear taller.
Mr Ron, Larger in that it is longer only. :D
Topamax, most do not until it is pointed out.
AandCstyle, perhaps although I doubt there is enough difference to make it appear taller.
Fishinbo, correct although how you knew that from this picture I don’t understand, it is less than a 1/2” longer!
Bill, sweet! A very observant fellow! I am doing a little of both (sell, give), A gift for a friends children, he paid for materials and as a gift to him – my labor!
Ripthorn, Oh you cheater!!! LOL
HorizontalMike, (no more laying down on the job! LOL )
Me too, although I loved making all three! #1 and #2 are for my friend’s daughters and the one in back is for his son, so of course you might like it best!
I promise to post more pics and answer questions (if any) in an upcoming project!
Thanks for looking!
