Having a $25 limit. What would you buy yourself for christmas? I can think of a million items…need some other opinions. What would you get yourself? :)

I am an expensive date. Can’t think of a lot that low. Probably more clamps.

I hear ya. Just trying to get some ideas. Maybe some inexpensive goodies that are helpful in others shops. I tell people not to get me anything but they always do. Mine as well give some usefull ideas instead of another kit of Axe body wash.

I’m with Monte, except maybe I’d get a nice 12” steel rule.

maybe a descent mechanical pencil, stack of sandpaper, seems like I can always use another bottle or two of Titebond and a bag of those little glue brushes from Harbor Frieght. I always seem to bend the tips off of my needle nose pliers. A pair a safety glasses that arent all scratched up are nice.

A good, small 4” double square is worth its weight in gold. The most-used tool in my shop. And you can get one for under $25 if you hunt.

You could get a chisel, or a nice ruler, as mentioned. Clamp, hardware/hinges for future projects, lots of little helpful stuff out there.

It really depends on what you need (and want)...

A decent saw blade on sale (Freud Diablo on sale, Onsrud)
A router bit or two
A 24” parallel clamp
Half dozen cheap clamps (HF Pittsburg quick release bar clamps are a great deal on sale)
Gift certificate to Rockler, Woodcraft, Amazon, Lowes, HD

My problem is that little stuff I just go buy for myself. Big stuff I am expected to buy for myself. If i send someone else to get it, I never get what I want.

This sounds funny… but I want one of those old school woodworking aprons.. Mega geeky but I would never buy one for myself. Also, I should also buy a flak jacket because some days it seems I can’t get out of the way of flying wood.
