Topic tags/keywords: question

Has anyone else noticed that some posted replies either do not post at all or show up later on.
It is annoying to receive and email notification of a post, and it is not there.

(nothing wrong with my system, all cleaned out and functioning well)

i know the frustration
make a comment
and post it
doesn’t show anywhere
post it again

then it shows twice later

i just did that with this post
i don’t know what happened to
the second one

this one was written
before you posted your post

just in case

Charlie, I just tracked my posts and they seem to be routed via Guantanamo area.

Grizz, are you counting backwards?, #2 came first.

its a new system i have invented, called go nowhere reverse posting..if you can track what i post but only from a reverse nowhere, then you might be on your way to the pre selected post postings.

Grizz, imagine if you get the answer to something that did not get posted, then wouldn’t you not post the question in the first place? Posting a post that does not post poses some post-haste post post, so that posters and postees can see posts that have been posted by posters for posterity.

I have received email notices to a New Thread posting, clicked on it, to find “File Not Found”...
I figured whoever started it, DELETED IT…

Is this what you’re talking about?

It’s very rare… but once in awhile, it happens…

What else am I supposed to do?

Joe, I think they call it the TAPS syndrome where the Last Post is MIA

well im not really aware of any posts that have disappeared, but sometimes the original poster messes up and then they re post it…...thats all i have seen….maybe the poster deleted it himself…well back to what i was doing, a lot of nothing right now…..been having a bad allergy problem, and i dont know the real cause..so im staying out of the shop until monday, and see if this gets any better ,,i did sand a lot on my last walnut piece..maybe it a reaction to all the walnut dust..well anyway, i sure miss my shop…so here is to posting and having your post go to where its posted…

Now Roger, I know that you are from Texas, so I’ll say this sloowly … I’ve had posts that didn’t appear on the list when I went back to review a project.
I am not so forgetful that I would have not pushed the “post this reply” button, no siree not me. So after a bit of study I have learned that I just have dumb fingers.
I have a daughter that lives in Plano, and I do enjoy poking fun at the Texans.

Hi Rex!
I don’t get to LJ much anymore. I hang out at NC Woodworkers. Your message just popped up on my E-mail. How are you? Good to hear you. Complaining as usual. Keep ‘em stright old man.

I keep hearing Texas is suceeding from the union. God bless Robert E. Lee.
