You all may have noticed my lack of participation lately. Well, with using the DVR to record two channels at a time along with watching a third channel live Just wanted to let you all know that I have not died and gone to the big workshop in the sky. I will be back on or about Monday after I recover :-) Gary -- Gary, East TX -- The longest journey begins with a single step. |

We just figured you were basking in your awesomeness with the Faberge tray. :-) I haven’t watched any of the Olympics this time out. Apparently there’s a swimmer? and he swims? that sounds neat. -- When my wife ask's what I have to show for my wood working hobby, I just show her the splinters. |

What’s this “Olympics” of which you speak? Can you work it with normal woodworking tools? -- Patrick, Chicago, IL www.TenonAndSpline.com |

Gary made a typo, it’s actually the Oak-lympics that he’s so interested in…. all varieties, apparently… lol. -- As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. (Proverbs 27:17) |

Bolt- Never saw a man that could run like that before. Despite the speed he achives with his build he is almost completely relaxed. BTW, who says you can’t grab 13 medals on a diet of potato chips and Canadian lager. <vbg> Yeah! Canada! Bob -- A mind, like a home, is furnished by its owner |

How about that Lightning Bolt from Jamaica?!! I predict that he will win every race he enters UP to 400m… slashing the records; whatever they may be. We will see alot of him in the future… as a possible biotic man! That guy is plain awesome! -- Have Fun! Joe Lyddon - Home: http://www.WoodworkStuff.net ... Ah hah, we’ve finally found Yoda’s weakness. If we plan a LumberJocks contest to coincide with the Olympics, someone else might actually have a chance! (just kidding!) -- Eric at http://adventuresinwoodworking.com |

This is a great time of the summer (for Gumpy it is the winter). The Olympics and the Little League World Series, I am happy as a pig in the mud. -- Brian, Lebanon PA, If you aren’t having fun doing it, find something else to do. |

I share your affliction, Gary! Joe, I bet Bolt runs out of gas in the 400, and is beat by the Texas Streak! But he is amazing. He was still pulling away from the rest at the finish in the 200. -- North Texas |

Thank goodness Gary. I was concerned you were monkeying around in the shop building your Gorilla Challenge project and accidentally glued yourself to the workbench. I was going to send out a posse but Texas is a big state. I have enjoyed the Olympics immensely myself, especially the swimming. Enjoy your break! -- My favorite piece is my last one, my best piece is my next one. |

Trifern- LOL… funny thing is, I have a clear picture of GaryK glued down on a workbench, caught up in a clamp, with his finger only 1/2 inch from the intercom button…. lol… (but still in a position to see the Olympics on his TV in his shop, so he doesn’t really care that he’s stuck) -- As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. Steve and Trifern, I think Gary spends so much time in the shop that if he got glued to the workbench it might be several days before his wife even noticed he was missing. As for the olympics, last night was the pinnacle for me. Watching tall, wet girls in bikinis win a gold medal…. it just doesn’t get any better than that. :-) -- Charlie M. Thanks Gary, now we know what you’ve been up to. We’ve been watching them too. Look at these short cartoon animations of the Olympics. you guys are hilarious!! Ok.. we need Mr. Bordner to make us a picture of poor Gary glued to the bench with his finger just a fraction of an inch (or mm. or 1/1000th) away from the intercom.. eyes still transfixed on the TV.. -- "Functional WoodArt" by Debbie, Canada (http://www.execulink.com/~yohan) |
