I have acquired a few hand saws off of eBay, and from my grandfathers tools. I want to be able to sharpen them myself.

I have plenty of files, but don’t have a tooth set, or a saw vice (*can I make do without them?)

Finally, one of the back saws is missing the three nuts that hold the medallions, and I’m not sure where to find replacements, and what they would be called. (split nuts???).

Any suggestions, and info on this subject would be appreciated.

thanks much!
