I guess it only shows up when you have a new unread message. I checked/read my messages and now the alert is no longer visible. The function has probably been here for awhile and I just discovered it- along with my glasses on the bench next to the table saw!!

That’s correct lew… it show up only if you have an unread private message waiting.
