i found this jointer on craigslist and i’ve never owned one before.i know a lot of craftsman are junk but some are not so bad,or should i just save my money for the grizzly go654?any help or opinions would be appreciated.

Looks fine to me. The bed/cutterhead probably came off the same assembly line as Grizzly, Jet, Delta. $225 is reasonable. You generally can’t buy a good 6” jointer for less than $450-500, unless you’re lucky enough to stumble upon an odd-ball clearance deal.

I have the same jointer. I paid $200 for it used a few years ago and knowing how well it has worked for me, I would buy that for $225 if something were to happen to mine like a fire, flood or alien abduction.

Those are good jointers, I would buy one. My advice is to buy freestanding over benchtop,
unless you just don’t have the space.
