Hi All
I have an opportunity to buy an older Powermatic 6 inch jointer, model 54A, I was wondering if there had been any negative issues with this particular piece of equipment that would steer me away from purchasing it.
Thanks in advance for your prompt resonses.

I have one bought new in 97, never had the first issue with it, unlike the Delta I returned because I couldn’t get the tables parallel. The only thing I would change is the table raising lever to a wheel, but I can live with it as is just fine. It’s a great piece of machinery, have no fear if’n it’s not worn out.

Thanks guys. I made the deal today, $375 with the mobile base and blade alignment tool. Now I just have to move it to my shop.
