I wonder how many people go to garage sales or thrift stores and have found quality furniture (not antique or particle board furniture) at good prices and took it home and refinished it. Searching such sources can turn up some real bargains. I wouldn’t exclude antiques as long as the price is right. Particle board junk once restored is still junk, so I would never bother with it. I look for furniture that was quality made with quality wood.

I have a few nice pieces in the house. This is a great way to get good furniture.
