Is there any way that the way the website works can be changed? IE—When I click on a link within an email sent to me. -- Folly ever comes cloaked in opportunity! |

I would advise caution in that respect in that it leaves you open to hackers etc! -- Folly ever comes cloaked in opportunity! |

I’m not signed in anywhere else. Guess you will have to keep signing in to post unless Martin reprograms LJ. -- "some old things are lovely, warm still with life ... of the forgotten men who made them." - D.H. Lawrence Wake Up America!! Please read; http://www.commondreams.org/view/2009/01/26-0 |

Why not just log in before you start? -- "some old things are lovely, warm still with life ... of the forgotten men who made them." - D.H. Lawrence Wake Up America!! Please read; http://www.commondreams.org/view/2009/01/26-0 |

”Why not just log in before you start?” Seems Logical to me. That’s what I do. Takes all of 20/30 Seconds. -- ENJOY YOURSELVES GUYS!!! |

I would advise caution in that respect in that it leaves you open to hackers etc! Dez, this is not true. The only downside to staying signed in is that people using your computer will be able to pose as you. It does not allow access to hackers and it does not allow one website to follow your activities on other websites. This website, for example, has no way of knowing what you do outside this website. It only knows whether or not you are signed in. -- I'll grow up when ketchup bottle farts stop being funny. |

Agreeing with Ted. Additionally, it’s only if they’re using the same machine under your account. Even on a shared machine, cookies are account-specific, so your kid (for ex) wouldn’t be logged into LJ just because you are. I leave sites like this logged in as long as they let me. I can follow email links and the site’s still logged in from my last visit. |

Thanks for the info guys. I am not sure how long before we get logged out here but I have never logged out so it can’t be too long – worked great today. -- Folly ever comes cloaked in opportunity! |
