dewalt dw717

With holiday sales coming up the dw717 is going on sale for $419. Does anyone know how much distance is needed from the back of the rails (when pushed back) to the front of the table. (basically how much countertop space is needed for the saw to sit on and still have the rails clear the wall behind?)

Also anyone who is currently or has used this saw any good and bad (does the saw have much deflection, smoothness of rails over time of using). Thanks for any input.

Also considering the bosch glide but the saw has mixed reviews and there is a lot of plastic on the saw for detent stops and other material, worried about long term usage but I like the space savings the design offers.
