What are peoples thoughts on the aluminum drive wheels on the new band saws? Good or bad! Was looking at grizzlys 17” polar line but am ? the aluminum wheels versus the cast iron. |

I have a Delta 14” from 1962 and the wheels are cast aluminum. They have held up well for the past 50 years, but that is also old, possibly better quality aluminum. The plus with a bigger saw and cast iron is momentum. I would go with the cast if I were looking at a larger saw, especially if I would be doing a lot of resawing. -- My job is to give my kids things to discuss with their therapist....medic20447@gmail.com |

Narrowed down my choice of bandsaw to G0513p vs rikon 10-325. Any suggestions would be greatly Appreciated. |

Thanks for the response. I ended up going with the g0513×2 and I am really happy that I did. The main reason turned out to be less about the wheels and more about the other add ons such as the fence and trunnion. Solid saw. Cuts like a laser any thing I have thrown at it. |
