Does anybody remember the words to the poem about the “Poppies of Flander’s fields”?

All the King’s Men will wear a Red Poppy on their lapel today….

I salute veterans of all allied countries, who have given unselfishly to their respective allied countries and to each country, as allies.
It is Remembrance Day in each of our friendly allied countries too, so let us join together as allies to pay homage to fallen heroes, and those that that stand and guard us all today.
USA , UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, France, Belgium, Holland etc.

Be sure to thank veterans every day, not just on Veterans Day. Our vets today have a hard row to hoe and I know they appreciate every handshake and sincere “Thank you for your service” they receive.

In Flander’s Field, the poppies grow
Between the crosses, row by row
They mark our place
And in the sky , the lark, still bravely singing flies
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the dead. Short days ago we lived.
Felt dawn, saw sunsets glow.
Loved and were loved, and now we lay in Flander’s Field
Take up our quarrel with the foe
To you from failing hands we throw the torch.
Be yours to hold it high.
And if you break faith with us who die, we shall not sleep,
Though poppies blow in Flander’s Field.

.............

(I hope I got this right. )
Thanks to all who have served and those presently serving.
We will remember.

From a Veteran: Thanks for everyone’s support. I did not take on this profession for any recognition, but it is nice to know that most in our country are behind us. That means the world to me. Have a great day and my thanks go to out to the Vets as well.
