Hey everyone, I recently started looking around for a a jointer and I stumbled across this website http://www.bigjimdiscounttools.com and I am just curious if anyone else have ever heard of or used it. Discounted Grizzly tools with free shipping.. Think it is too good to be true?? I have not looked to far into it yet. Any thoughts, knowledge appreciated.

Thanks
Dave

The first thing that caught my eye was the Disclaimer, front and center -

In association with Amazon.com, product information on this site belongs to Amazon.com. BigJimDiscountTools.com makes no representations regarding either the products or any information vendors offer about their products.

Any questions, complaints, or claims regarding the products must be directed to the appropriate manufacturer or vendor, or to Amazon.com.

Looks to me it may be discontinued and/or refurb models represented. The G0615 benchtop jointer is not the current model and the ad copy was taken from the G0725.

In another example the G0555 is listed at $475, Gizzly has it for $505 right now. IMO, it’s not worth the $30 difference to deal with an unknown entity.

What Richard said. A lot of companies sell off old stock or refurbed stock this way. It’s like those flea market type stores with Ryobi refurbs, may as well by three of what you want and hope one of them works.

+2…if the savings aren’t there, go straight to Grizzly.

I recently bought a 6” jointer from Grizzly and it works well. I am happy with it.

Thanks for the input. As it does appear looking at the website I am not willing to take a chance to save a small amount of money.

Have your say...
