Im painting bar chairs with black latex paint. I feel
extra protection is needed. What type of spray on finish do you all recommend. I'm considering spar urethane. Im using an Earlex 5500 hlvp I purchased at Wood Craft. Nozzle and
Needle recommendations appreciated as well. Suggestions? Thanks!

Tom, you can put about anything you want,,, Some Arm R Seal wiped on would do well, of a coat or 2 of a good waterbase finish , or even some lacquer ( been doing it for years) , latex paint is a nonreactive coating, I have used the above for years, never an issue, I usually like to give the paint a light scuff to smooth, then topcoat, works quite well , in reality just use the latex for color, no problem

make sure the paint is dry , when you scuff it , it should dust, not clump
