Topic tags/keywords: humor question Thought I would start this thread….I am less productive but more creative in the woodshop since joining LJ’s, well I might be addicted and was wondering if they have a rehab I could check in to :) But I Googled “Rehab for LJ’s” and could not find one :) Not that I really want to…you know the ole saying that two heads are better then one, well what about 5200 heads are better then one..hehe. Love LJ’s… This is an awesome place to hang out…Be well…and God Bless… PS:Thanx to the Developers of this…. -- Frank, Little River/Academy, Texas , http://www.allthingsrustix.com |

I’ve been slacking both in the workshop and in LJ’s lately. It’s just been too doggone hot to get excited about working in my un-air-conditioned shop, and I’ve been too busy at work to keep up with ll the posts here as much as I’d like. At least I’ve got two “commissions” to get to work on….. The wife wants a pair of Adirondacks, and mom has her order in for a sofa table. Now if only these were paying jobs… <g> -- Charlie M. Hey kicking the L.J. addiction is REAL easy! Just have a real old computer and then install firefox. You then have nothing to worry about! I even had a computer guy out here just this morning cause I miss L.J.’s but I cannot navigate here at all anymore unless I go to my personal blog and hit on the L.J. widget. And that’s it!!! LJ’s, it’s not just a job, it’s an addiction. For me, everything is cyclical. I’ll spend a ton of time in here, then in the shop or elsewhere. Everything happens in spurts – this summer it’s been a lot of yard work and gardening. The past couple weeks have been a challenge, so much rain I’ve had to switch gears every couple of hours… I’m already pining for the fall when I can dissapear back downstairs, rather than dissapear down back building retaining walls – much better on the back! -- I am always doing what I cannot do yet, in order to learn how to do it. - Pablo Picasso -- http://snbcreative.wordpress.com/ |

Its been real busy here in Brandon, I’ve actually completed a project (almost a week ago now) and will post it once I get enough time at home; we’ve been camping and holidaying the last two weeks so I been suffering severe LJ withdrawal…fortuneatly the last couple of days I’ve been back close to the net and can read about what everyone is doing. I think reading LJs has made me more productive (less time in the shop though) in the shop as I do things better and more effectively. I’ve actually tackled stuff that was beyond me before I started reading here. Jenn has me building a fence this weekend so I may start the whole withdrawal thing again :-( -- ....next big purchase is wood for the next project, Mark |

I got it, how about a Celebrity Rehab for LJ WoodWorkers overlooking a beach somewhere,no computers, and you have to spend 30 days with Maloof, Molesworth, Marks, etc…and you can not check out till you master one of their pieces but you have to put your own twist on it in your own style :) hehe Ok, get back to work now… -- Frank, Little River/Academy, Texas , http://www.allthingsrustix.com |

celebrity rehab – sign me up for season one! I don’t care if it gets filmed or runs on TV, I just wanna build furniture and stuff on the beach! If we can go a week without logging in, Festool Dominoes all around, Two weeks, we get a Saw Stop, week three, a full set of planes, rasps and rifflers…. and at the end of the month we’ve got enough toys and mad skills to keep us in the shop (or on the beach!) OK….This thread is taking a free-form LIFE all on it’s own…and I like it and I agree…with Steve, Scott, Itsme and all ya’ll…why not take LJ’s to the next level? A new reality series…Where LJ’s come out of CyberSpace for a spell…Funding? Well that would be nice but we could earn it, we could silent/auction off what we do after the show to the highest bidder or not…Just a Thought…..But a (beacHING) good one :) Be Well…and I am repeating Scott.. So forget Rehab, the new topic is “What would you title a new LJ’s Reality Series”??? -- Frank, Little River/Academy, Texas , http://www.allthingsrustix.com |
