LJ’s, I possess a Rabone Chesterman 36” four fold boxwood rule, No. 1380, that stays in my apron pocket and is in use daily. It’s marked in 8ths, 10ths, 12 ths, and 16ths. I use 8ths and 16ths, but what measuring, marking, or layout operations make 10ths or 12ths proper or useful? I’ve used meteric before and understand their utility.
Thanks for the education for this advanced novis.
