Bamboo?

What are you gonna do with bamboo slats?

Boy, that’s a tough one. Since bamboo basically grows as a tube, most bamboo is pressed into shape. Finding long slats other than blinds has me stumped, unless you think you can find actual bamboo.

Just did a quick Google search for bamboo plywood and found these guys http://www.calibamboo.com/bambooplywood.html. Looks like they have both sheet goods and dimensional lumber.

i use them in window treatments to support fabric. Cut into narrow but long pieces they can provide a lot of support for shades. It tends to be stronger than wood of the same size. Light, strong a just a little flexible.

Can you buy bamboo flooring and rip it to size?

I’ve seen guys on line that split their own bamboo.
