Topic tags/keywords: purpleheart

Hi
This is my first blog EVER and I hope someone can give me some insight
I’m working with purpleheart and no matter what I do (cut slow, cut fast, sharp tools, chicken sacrifice) I always get brown wood. It turns purple eventually but is there a faster way to bring the color back.
Thanks in advance for your advice

Put it out in the sun to speed up the process.

Joe, putting it out in the sun is what works for purpleheart. Air circulation is important too.
When sand or cut, purpleheart turns brown. The gray you’re thinking of takes place over a long peroid of time.

Sunlight. Maybe a sun lamp, be that might cause uneven color.

I’ve used daylight cfl bulbs to the same effect.
