Where is the best place to buy self cleaning blast gates? (Need 14)I am just in the process of putting in (finally) my metal duct work and am looking for a good self cleaning gate at a good price. Also where would you recommend to buy flexible hose from? I have seen a lot of hose and some is very expensive and I think would be good but probably more than one would need for light use. What are your recommendations for hose that’s affordable and still have a certain grade of quality.

Thanks Richard

If you find a good gate let me know. They clog.

I found these guys. I am trying to work out a way to use half blast gates I feel they may be less of a problem with clogging.

If you dont need clear hose, got it from harbor freight. Use a 20% off coupon and you get 2 15’ hoses for the price of 1 10’ clear hose

Cole do you know what the thickness of the Harbor Freight hose is and is it smooth walled?

Of course you could always make your own. 14 gates? Are you sure? I’ve seen many dust collection systems that use dust “boxes” with several gates in a single box. Perhaps you could consolidate and reduce the number of hoses you have running through the shop? That’s my plan.

Black polyurethane flex hose is a good value and tough. It can
flex in tight bends. I used it on my panel saw.

I made some blast gates recently. They are self-cleaning
and not hard to fabricate.

Pennstate is where I purchased our gates and flex. We got metal 6” gates and 6” flex hose. So far so great.
