Topic tags/keywords: question beetle kill spruce

I have been staring at this for over a week now and can’t make up my mind if I want to buy it. I don’t know if it is a good deal or not. The thing that worries me is that it’s been sitting for a while but the ends weren’t painted to keep out moisture. anybody?

22 trees? Where’s the rest of it? Looks like he might have used up all the good stuff and now he’s trying to recoup his planking service cost.
And you are right, not stacked correctly, basically out in the Alaskan weather, and some of it has rotted ends.
I think I would definitely pass. I’ve seen better looking pallet wood.

Do you have a use for spruce? I have only used it for house trim, where it is acceptable.
I have looked at lumber before that was actually rotten. If you buy that type of lumber, then it becomes a disposal fee at the lumber recyclers.
