Periodic saw blade cleaning is a must; ask any expert. I simply got fed up of soaking, scrubbing, and the manual labor involved with cleaning so I develop this unit. I have been using it for over a year with great results. The heart of the process is the three replaceable brushes that sit in the container filled with cleaning liquid. As the blade rotates the brushes clean the left, right, top and in between the teeth. The unit is about 15” high by 15” wide by 8” deep. It can sit on a shelf for periodic use.

You can see the Blade Cleaner in action on YouTube.

That is pretty cool for saw blades.
What I have found to work well for me on saw blades or router bits is cheap oven cleaner from the dollar store. I made a little wooden dowel with notch on the end and I hold the blade on it and spray both sides with oven cleaner and then leave it sit 15 minutes in the sink and I hardly have to brush it, the pitch melts off and is easily washed away.

On router bits, I remove the bearing and do a quick spray on them and it melts the pitch off them too.
