Topic tags/keywords: question lathe

My next door neighbor is interested in purchasing a mini lathe for Christmas. I personally have the Grizzly G0624 which I find no fault with for the moderate amount of hobby turning I do. He likes to buy Made in America things as much as he can, sorry, no offense meant to our non-American brethen.

Was just wondering if anyone knows of any decent mini lathes that are MIA and can comment on them.

i don’t know if the jet mini lathe is made here, but it is a really nice machine for the price.

That was my other recommendation to him. No where can I find Jet committing to it being MIA so that means it probably isn’t…

I could be wrong, but I think I read somewhere that Delta is bringing back their manufacturing to the states.

Taig is American made. Add a wee lit’l Baldor motor and you’re in business.
