Bought a 2011 Toyota Corolla a few weeks ago. Drove it to Terra Haute and back today.
39 mpg.
Sure beats the ole ghost buster.

The latest price down under in Sydney is around $1.40 $1.50 per litre
That’s roughly $5.50 to $5.80 US a gallon.
No wonder they call me Grumpy.

I’m building a big rat truck. Put a REO dump truck cab on a 24’ motor home frame with a 440 dodge engine. With 5 gals. of gas i was good to go for the 10 mile round trip. I was suprized when it ran outta gas before i got home. Less than 2 mpg. Just a little more tuneing and i should get 10 mpg. BUT i look gooood driving it !!!

The ‘99 Itasca motor home gets 7.5 MPG when pulling a car. The ‘01 Saturn we pull gets about 30, so we get 18.75 on the combo going down the road.
The 06 Accord get 31 mpg.
The’99 Outback gets 26mpg The ‘72 Monte Carlo get 22mpg with the overdrive tranny. Was getting 17 with the 3 speed turbo hydro.

Wow, 39mpg? Thats impressive! Best I’ve ever had was in my Mustang, about 32 or so. I had a 96 F250 powerstroke that got me 22 one time on a 900 mile road trip…tailwind helped, but still!

My “best” fuel economy I ever had was in a 1990 Geo Metro; 49 MPG on a highway trip. That was back when gas was only $0.80/L..sigh…I love my truck but I cry a little bit each time I fuel up…
