When I cut the marquetry logo for my wedge powered bench, I cut it in Boulle style marquetry. What that means is that I have a second marquetry logo that is exactly the negative of the one I used…..........and I have no need for it.

So if anyone is building a copy of the V8 bench or even the leg vice, I’ll send you the logo. Sorry but you have to have the bench or vice built and post a picture of it here. I want it to go to someone who actually is building or has built one.

One only, first come first served.

I recently got a look at this bench up close and personal and Paul gave a couple of us a demo of what it can do. It’s hard to believe such a handsome and functional bench can be built for only a few hundred dollars. I guess I’m saying that if you don’t already have a good bench, Paul’s offer here is a good one. Not sure if there are any comparable commercial benches, but even if there are, they are going to cost at least 10x as much and that’s even before you pay shipping !!

Very thoughtful. Who wouldn’t want that on their own vise. There will be one fortunate recipient.

What a terrific incentive Paul! Actually MonteCristo and I were both there in Paul’s workshop having a demonstration of his most awesome wedge powered bench the other day. The Marquetry logo that is on the leg vice definitely adds to the superb craftsmanship already in evidence. I was actually salivating while Paul worked his magic with this work-bench! Even though I haven’t additional space to house such a beauty … I want one just like that!!!

It looks like a V8 logo that Henry Ford used on his cars powered by the same size engine. I’ll have to scope out the workbench, build it, and snag the logo up, if it’s still here.
