Who has built a Chevalet for Marquetry?

I built one thanks to the inspiration and coaching provided by Paul Miller (Shipwright). Paul has been keeping track of this question as well. Paul what is the official count you are up to?

By my tally I have five finished and four under construction.
Maybe you’ve asked the question better but the other thread didn’t serve the purpose very well.

Paul I had asked the same question about 4 days ago with no response and then I saw you had asked it again the next day go figure. Basically we were on the same page in our inquiries. Sometimes one can miss stuff on here do to the large amount of posts.

Hi Fellow marquetry lovers, I didn’t give up I just had to take a break, well not really a break I just had to jump onto another project “My Work bench”, I have to have a bench with a vice you know what I mean? A place to work on the different parts of what ever I am building. My accuracy is not what I feel it should be working with clamps on my table saw not to mention how unsafe it can be I am always banging into something or the part slips in the clamp. I am about 1/3 done and will be building the other half of the top when my friend brings me more 8/4 maple on Thursday. I hope to have the bench done in a few weeks minus the wagon vice I am getting from Lake Erie Tools when its available which is about 6 or 7 weeks so I will add that later.
