And in Venezuela you can bicycle to work in shorts and a tank top. Why buy gas?

Because it cheaper to buy the gas to fuel the S UV’s that to buy food to fuel the body.

Maybe in Alaska. Just a couple of comparisons…

Alaska:
One dozen Eggs – $4.49
1 loaf Bread – $2.50

Venezuela:
Eggs (12) 3.23 $
Loaf of Fresh White Bread (500g) 2.00 $

In VENEZUELA 12 cents worth of gas could move a family of 6 across town. I wonder how many egg sandwiches it would take to do that.

BTW, I don’t think you want to see me on a bicycle wearing a tank top.

Just because a commodity, such as gas, is cheap in Venezuela does not mean you are going to be hell bent on wasting it to the max. Not everyone treats gasoline as America does. And for that, you should be thankful.

In my original post I post some facts. They were just gas prices at certain places. I didn’t say anything about wasting gas, using gas or anything at all about gas except prices at some different locations. I don’t know why you’re trying to turn this into something it’s not with all your witty remarks.

Next you’ll probably tell my how you use home made methane gas and a hose to fuel you chain saw.

And in Wolcott, NY gas starts at 4.00-4.25 and while it is rural it isn’t the butt end of no place. For best mileage I use 89 which is 4.10-4.40. But the roughly 2.5% increase over 87 to counteract the effects of the ethanol that the 87 is diluted with nets be an easy 10% increase in economy. Currently averaging 34.2mpg in my corolla. Prices suck everywhere but SC and it isn’t gonna get any better. I’m just glad I don’t have your grocery bill with eggs at that price. 2.39 for a dozen large and 1.99 for a gallon of 2%.

Hey EXCUSE ME! but I live in WASILLA! and it is a nice town. Just because one moron has escaped and thinks that she can see Russia from her house doesn’t mean the rest of us think that way, and by the Way AlaskaGuy thanks for sticking up for us! Christ.

Gas here is at 4.10 a Gallon and in Venezuela the oil and gas is owned by the Government and that is one of the reasons why it is cheap.

You guys all have it good!

Gas in San Francisco and San Jose area just passed the $5.00/g mark due to a perfect storm of refinery problems and the supply issues …. at least that’s what they tell us.

Some stations have closed down because they buy off of the spot market and that market has dried up! They also tell us that because the gasoline blend for California is NOT available out of state so they can’t bring it in …..!

Last night on the news I saw a price of $5.45 in southern California.
