Anyone else having trouble logging into PayPal I just sold something on E-bay for $91 bucks but I can’t get into my account. When I try to log in it sent me to create a new password. I am wondering whats the trouble?

Charles
It seems like if you dig deep enough into the e bay and pay pal info there are some phone numbers where you can to a real live person. I’ve done this, but it’s be a year or two . I hope it all works out for you.

PayPal is not the only one to loose passwords. I’ve had to create numerous new passwords to my list of favorites, including LJ !

Never go forward if Paypal asks for your password. It could be a phony site, trying to gain access to your account. If you feel the slightest amount of suspicion, get your client’s Paypal email address, and send/receive money from scratch, rather than trust somebody’s Paypal link, which could be bogus. When doing a Paypal transaction, look in your address bar for “https” instead of simply “http”. Be careful!

Any buyer on eBay has a Paypal account. They are automatically directed to their Paypal account at the conclusion of the auction. They have to log in to their account to make payment. Your ID, your private information is NEVER seen by the buyer, who simply authorizes the transfer of funds from his account to yours thru Paypal and eBay. If you get asked for personal info to complete a sale, RUN to eBay and report it. They know who your buyer is, let them take care of it. Do not ship ANYTHING until accounts are settled. Go to MyeBay/summary, the tab at the top of the page, and access your accounts there, the only secure way to be sure that you are logging in to the REAL site and not some Paypal look-alike. Do not respond outright to emails sent to you from ‘heavens knows where’, go right to your own login from the eBay tab. Protect yourself, good luck. I get this stuff a lot, like an official-looking email saying my account security was compromised, or my account was suspended, etc, etc, it’s always BOGUS. Delete, do not Ever click on the internal links in these bogus emails either.
