Old Disston saw

I have an old Disston saw that I am going to try to restore. I have taken the handle off and there is alot of rust on the blade. What would be the best stuff to use to try to get off the rust on the blade, and to polish it up. Also, the tip has a little bend about 3 or 4 inches from the end. Any ideas on trying to straighten it??
