there is a picture of an alphanumeric code just above where they want you to type it. some places also use an audio link in case you have visual problems but photobucket doesn’t appear to. they are attempting to prevent robots from signing up for an account

perhaps you have images turned off??

Pommy, Picasa will manage your photos on your computer as well as the photos you put on their website.
I find it quite bit easier to sort them and load them than some of the other programs.
Check it out before you get too committed.

Bob #2 has a good one. Also who is your internet provider? If you have Yahoo … use Flickr … if you have (or use) Google … use Picasa. All of your major providers have a photo service. Take a look at there ads in the columns. You’ll be surprised what you’ll find. I have three such services … Flickr, Picasa, and .mac. They all work great.
