Topic tags/keywords: woodburning pyrography soldering iron regulator thermostat

A fellow instructor(that teaches woodburning) told me about the ‘Creative Versa-tool’ from Walnut Hollow. It has a regulator in the cord, comes in a carrying case, and also with about 10 tips. It is priced at $29. I used an A.C. Moore 50% off coupon and got it at Michael’s for $15. If I’d used it, I would have posted as a review. Maybe later.

I’ve been wanting to do some enhancing with woodburning but did not want to pay that much for the iron & regulator. It is not high-end, but I think it will do for my needs.

I’ll have to check it out. I also want to do some burning, but not enough for the big stuff.

-- Mother Nature created it, I just assemble it.

Monte, I figured this would get me going enough to figure out if I really want to tool-up to the professional set. In searching for the image, I found that K-mart and other places sells it too. But Michaels/A.C. Moore has the coupons. :)

You got a thermostat & more tips than I got from one from Amazon about a year ago!

Look great!

I just used mine again to burn some unicorns into the ends of a small portable book shelf I’m just finishing up…

Thank you!

From their website:

(Obviously, the web link above will eventually go stale.)

Michaels & A.C. Moore coupons are accepted from each other.

Very interested in hearing how well it works. I’m looking for a cheap wood burner to just add lettering and sign some of my projects.

I’ve got a kit very similar to this. It’s neat to fiddle with. This is some burnings from it:
