Been woodworking a long time but I’m new here at Lumberjocks. Recently I’ve been getting back into the hobby and having trouble finding a good reliable accessory vendor to help me outfit the new shop with the latest toys. I’ve tried all the major players and all are 10 days plus to get my new toys. I’ve used the search here and didn’t come up with any reviews of suppliers. Plus most everyone sells for around the same price on the name brand stuff.

Any suggestions on good suppliers that ship same day and even better if they ship out of the southeast (U.S.).

Since most large items are drop shipped (from the manufacturer to you, not necessarily the retailer), if you want something the same day, you’ll have to find a store that has stock.

Bob, you need to tell us what you really need. Maybe we know something that ship on the same day but can’t give it to you because you don’t specify things. And btw, welcome to lumberjocks! For sure you’ll find a great stay here!

Depends on what you need. Large equipment…gotta find local in stock to get it quick. Many accessories can be found on for a good (often best) price and they can 2 day ship for pretty cheap (or if you have Amazon Prime, you always get 2 day shipping).

McMaster Carr ( sells a lot of cool parts and accessories and tools and bits and they ship same day usually. You won’t find a lot of the name brand stuff there, but you can find a myriad of cool things and they have materials and bits that no one else has. Sometimes I’ll order in the morning and the box will be on my door step when I get home from work! Granted I only live 30 miles from their warehouse, but they still UPS it.

Other sites like Rockler, MLCSWoodworking, Peachtree…etc have standard shipping (unless you pay $$) but they typically are reasonably quick (3-7 days) in my experience.

Thanks everyone. Sorry I was a little vague. My most recent purchase was a couple of turning chisels I bought from Penn State. Just having a hard time understanding why it took 10 days to get from PA to FL. I’m shopping right now for a small layout square so my question was around small accessory tool type stuff. I’ve used most of the Rocklers, MLCS, Peachtree, Woodcraft, etc type houses and most are acceptable service but none overly impressive. But hey acceptable is good. I get what I want for a good price and maybe I should work on my patience level.

Thanks again

For small layout squares check and amazon as I previously mentioned. You can get stuff quick.

I buy a lot from Amazon. A great place to get reviews too.
