While fiddling around with SketchUp .skb files show up on my desktop. Do I need them? If not how do I prevent them?

SKB file are backup files. Sketchup automatically saves them every 5 minutes or so. If you don’t want them to go Window, Preferences, General and deselect the backups options.

I have learned the hard way to hit the save button every time I complete a component in the piece I am working on. Sketchup does not appear to be very stable on the mac.

”Sketchup does not appear to be very stalble on the mac.” ?

thats a blunt comment. I have been working with Sketchup on Macs for a very long time now, and have rather complex elements with no problems what’s so ever.

maybe something is up with your Mac? I’d have it checked out, cause there shouldnt be any reason for Sketchup to act up…
