I never knew Makita made jointers…planers yes , but I’ve never seen one of these before : )

As seen on Craigslist today for $375 !

Makita 8” jointer for $375… Sounds good.
I have never seen one of these before. If it does the job accurately and you can get parts and blades for it then I guess it a good deal! I would do a little more research on it.

I’ve seen them before. Like the planers, I think they run on
universal motors.

Makita, Hitachi and Ryobi all made some even heavier
(3 phase) machinery. Most of it wasn’t imported over here.

Loren , I was wondering about that as well…..probably a real “screamer” then. Unlike my old Delta , which you can barely tell when it is running : )

That is a great price! Did you know that Dewalt makes jointer’s too? I would highly recommend this Jointer, it’s a great machine!

wowwwww. If i wasn’t already so committed t0o building a 12” jointer, this would already be sitting in my basement.
