Topic tags/keywords: bandsaw

Hi, just came across a bandsaw for sale but I’ve never heard of the brand before. Anyone have any experience with this brand bandsaw? Here is the listing:

3 speed bandsaw. Made by Fairbanks Ward, USA. Comes with replacement fan-belt & blade. Saw has table & slide square.
$50

I googled it and saw a 14” wood bandsaw, that looks like a great deal if that’s what this guy is selling. I have sent him an email to ask if it’s for wood and the size.

Anyone know if this looks good? replacement parts?

Thanks!

Several companies offered these Taiwan made Delta clones. Buffalo, Reliant, and others no-longer around.

Grizzly, and Harbor Freight might be only manuals that come close to your bandsaw. Yes, those bandsaw have open stands. Yes, will be crap shoot finding parts that fit.

Both companies have up-dated their bandsaws, never saw earlier models with closed stand that can remember. Not sure Fairbanks Ward still importing these bandsaws or even in business.
