Topic tags/keywords: jointer drill press bandsaw Out of all the tools in your shop, which one do you use the most, and what’s your favorite tool in your shop. My most used tool in my shop is probably my drill press, or bandsaw. My favorite tool in my shop is my 1950’s Dewalt jointer. It weighs about 400lb, and has a really nice fence. -- If I can do it.....so can you! -AJswoodshop |

I’d be lost without my pencil so That’s first and then my tape measure!!!! After those I get to use the rest of my tools and finally it’s my camera so I can post my project on LJ’s :) -- Tony C , My high school shop teacher said "You can do it"... Now I can't stop! |

My router table and drill press get a LOT of use. -- He who dies with the most tools... dies with the emptiest wallet. |

The last time I answered this question when asked, I answered with My Tablesaw Super Sled. While that is a very valued tool, I now would have to admit that my purpose-built woodworking workbench gets more use than all other tools combined. It is where I begin and end a project, and it is where I often will just stand with my head in my hands staring at plans and making adjustments to those same plans. -- HorizontalMike -- "Woodpeckers understand..." |

I’ve always been especially fond of my table saw….it gets the most use, is the most expensive tool in my shop, and is the one I take the most pride in owning. -- Happiness is like wetting your pants...everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth.... |

It is like picking between your children. However, the TS gets the most run time besides the DC, which isnt very exciting. |

My Unisaw, no doubt. If I ever bought a bandsaw, that would probably give the Uni a run for its money. My new spindle sander is quickly creeping up the list, however. I love that thing. -- jay, www.allaboutastro.com |

I’d have to say my two Hegner Scroll saws get the most work out, and then the band saw Jet and Rigid Spindle Sanders. Planer, Joiner and router table receive allot of use as well….most favorite would have to be the Scroll Saw -- Hawaiilad Larry |
