Topic tags/keywords: table saw fence adjustment question

Hi, when we moved to the new house, the fence on my table saw got beaten up. So I ordered parts online to fix it, and put it back together.

But now the fence is seriously out of whack. Every time I tighten it, it moves to the right about 1/16”, and up a little bit. There’s a little lever with a rubber insert in back that tightens against the rear rail, and it seems to be out of line so that the left side contacts the rail first.

Short of taking that apart and using washers/shims around the pivot screw or shaving down the rubber insert, is there a way of getting the thing to sit more still when I tighten the lever?
